For Employers

There are many benefits of work-based learning for employers.  It can lower your recruitment costs, increase your staff’s diversity, and help you develop talent with the exact skills you need.  However, we know that our local employers are busy with everything from finding new clients to building widgets and signing invoices. Employers have to be a Jack- or Jane- of-all-trades. There’s not a lot of space to be an expert in work-based learning as well.  That’s where we come in.

 

We’ve created some resources for you as well as gathered others to make the process easier for you (and we will always be adding more).  Please know that collaboration is key and the Coalition for Work-Based Learning is here to help.  We can connect you to schools and agencies. We can train your staff on mentoring interns or apprentices.  And we can guide you in the training of the generation of our local workforce.
