Authentic Experiences

High-quality work-based learning activities are authentic experiences providing youth and young adults with critical insights to help them be successful whether they choose college or career. _e experiences give youth opportunities to develop technical and employability skills to be successful in future jobs. Additionally, high-quality programs offer supportive relationships with adults that expand students’ professional networks and social capital, both critical to their future success.

Work-based learning is a triple win with the youth/adult, employer, and community benefiting from the results.
